The school is the first educational institution in the Volta part of Ghana to benefit from RecellGhana Computerlab’s “Computer-as-a-service” initiative. The school has 21 workstations with Ghana Educational Service-approved ICT curriculum software, a 24/7 internet connection, and a center server.
The school’s headmaster, Mr. Frank Agbo, was eager to get the state-of-the-art computer lab for his school, His dedication to getting the computer lab shows how keenly he wants his learners to acquire basic ICT skills and knowledge. He believes everything about the world is ICT, therefore, we must empower the next generation with all the relevant ICT skills they need to prepare them for the ICT-driven world.
RecellGhana Computerlabs will monitor, maintain, and provide a 24/7 help desk to Kharister International School to make sure that the computer lab keeps running to its fullest effect, which will not hinder the students from having access to the computer lab. that, the lack of maintenance has prevented schools with a computer lab from sustaining the lab for a long period. However, this is no issue for any school that is benefiting from RecellGhana Computerlab’s initiative. RecellGhana as part of our responsibilities will maintain, replace, and repair faulty equipment at all times.
Let us come together to bridge the ICT gap in our society, and commit to ensuring fair and equal digital participation in all schools in Ghana. We do not want to leave behind any educational institution in Ghana.
