On the 8th of May 2024, RecellGhana Computerlabs organized a transformative Base Training Workshop for ICT teachers at the Centre for Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS). This initiative was more than just a training session; it was a leap forward in modern computer-based education.
The workshop convened a group of dedicated ICT teachers from our partner schools. The goal was simple yet ambitious: to equip these educators with the skills and knowledge necessary to manage our state-of-the-art Computerlabs effectively.
Our Startup Leader, Brianna Dika, alongside our Client Relations Officer, Aisha Mohammed, led an enlightening presentation. They delved into the intricacies of our Computerlabs and related services, demonstrating how our Computerlab components and functions could be harnessed to craft captivating and interactive learning experiences for students.
Technology Meets Pedagogy
A core objective of the workshop was to bolster the teachers’ proficiency in blending technology with pedagogy. This was particularly emphasized through the use of our curriculum applications and the unique hardware components that set our labs apart.
The collaboration with Vandzillah Technologies was pivotal. Their team member guided the teachers through hands-on sessions, providing them with practical experience in employing various ICT tools and platforms. From coding exercises to multimedia presentations, the participants discovered innovative ways to elevate teaching and learning outcomes.
Collaboration and Community
The workshop also cultivated a community of collaborative learning. Educators exchanged ideas, shared best practices, and drew inspiration from one another. This synergy not only enriched their knowledge but also sparked a collective drive to refine their teaching methodologies.
The ripple effect of the Base Training Workshop is bound to be felt well beyond the classroom walls. By equipping ICT teachers with the necessary tools to integrate technology into their teaching, we’re setting the stage for a future where engaging and effective learning experiences are the norm at the schools that partner with us.
As we reflect on the success of the workshop, we’re filled with optimism about the future of ICT education in Ghana. With empowered teachers at the helm of our Computerlabs, we’re on course to redefine the educational landscape, one training at a time.
