Digital Education: Kwabenya Senior High School Goes Digital

Kwabenya Senior High in Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana has transitioned from the traditional method of teaching and learning to digital education. The transition took place after the school partnered with RecellGhana Computerlabs(RGC) for a state-of-the-art computerlab and more

 

The computerlab comes with 42 workstations, 2 servers, 2 MTN Routers for internet connectivity, and Uninterrupted Power Supply(UPS). The computerlab also comes with remote monitoring, maintenance, repair, and replacement which will help Kwabenya Senior High School enjoy a sustainable computer lab to promote digital education in the school.

The digital transition will benefit the educators and the students of the school which will prepare them for the future in this data-driven and digital world.

 

TEACHER TRAINING

RecellGhana Computerlabs in partnership with Ghana Society for Education and Technology(GSET) organized a teacher training for the teachers at Kwabenya Senior High School. The training empowered the teachers with the basic computing skills they need to thrive in this digital era and also prepared them for digital education. The training was spearheaded by Emmanual Sefadzi Ahegbebu, the teacher trainer for RGC.

The trainer took the teachers through some basic computing skills, the physical architecture setup, the basic components of the computerlab and the software installed on the computers. The trainer also took the teachers through some hands-on practical lessons. 13 teachers benefitted from the training.
