Digital Education: Vine Christian School Transitions

Vine Christian School, located in East Legon in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, has transitioned to digital education after partnering with RGC to install and maintain the school’s computer lab and enhance digital education among the students and teachers.

The partnership will eliminate the burden and high cost of installing and maintaining sustainable computer labs, which hinders schools from transitioning into digital education.

RecellGhana Computerlabs installed 21 workstations which come with remote monitoring, maintenance, updating of software, and replacement of hardware if necessary. The computers also come with Ghana Education Services’ current educational software.

RGC also provides a 4G Router with 25 gigabits of data monthly to enable educators and learners to explore the Internet and learn new things. There’s provision for a backup battery, and an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS).

RGC’s computer lab is designed not only for teaching computing but also for enhancing the learning of all subjects. To support this, RGC trains teachers to effectively integrate computer labs into their teaching. RecellGhana Computerlabs offers a structured four-stage training program for all partner schools in order to achieve this goal.

TEACHER TRAINING AT VINE CHRISTAIN SCHOOL.

On the 28th of January 2025, RecellGhana computerlabs conducted a base training for the educators at Vine Christian School. The training aimed to improve the quality of teaching and learning among the teachers and students of the school. The teachers were taken through the basic setup and units of the computerlab, the rules and regulations, and how to operate and use some of the software installed.

RecellGhana Computerlabs’ Teacher Trainer, Emmanuel Sefadzi Ahegbebu took the educators through some hands-on practical experience with the computers before bringing the training to an end.

On February 5th, 2025, RecellGhana Computerlabs, in partnership with AmaliTech , officially opened and handed the computerlab to Vine Christain School to kickstart the use of the lab
