Odumse D/A Basic School Gets a Quality and Sustainable Computer Lab to Enhance Digital Education.
Odumse D/A Basic School has partnered with RecellGhana Computerlabs for quality and sustainable Digital Education in the school. The partnership aims to empower both educators and learners with the digital literacy they need for the technological, digital, and data-driven world.
Odumse’s transition started when RecellGhana Computerlabs installed 21 workstations with stable internet connections. The computing facilitator will have access to a dedicated workstation, while the learners will have access to 20 workstations. Each student can have access to one workstation during the lessons.
For the transition to be sustainable, RecellGhana Computerlabs will provide maintenance, replacement, repair, and teacher training for the school. RGC provides four stages of training for partner schools: base training, bronze training, silver training, and gold training.
RGC’s initiative takes into account the high cost and headache of maintaining a modern computerlab for schools in Ghana. RGC is responsible for the smooth operation of the computerlab, so that partner schools can focus on providing effective and quality digital education to their learners, which will prepare them for the data and digital-driven world and in the end help the nation develop.
After a successful installation, RGC conducted base training for the educators at Odumse DA School on the 21st of February 2025. The trainer took the educators through the basic setup of RGC’s Computerlab. They further discussed the hardware and software architecture of the labs.
RGC’s trainer also stated and explained the rules and regulations that the teachers must abide by so that the school’s computer lab can be well maintained. The trainer further empowered the school’s educators to monitor the activities of the students when they are using the lab.
